Configuring editor role permissions

Wednesday 28 May 2014 11:17:18 pm - 3 replies

I'd like to configure the out-of-the-box Editor role permissions on eZ Publish v5.2, so that users with that role assigned could author new custom content objects, but could not modify the content structure.

By default, editors don't seem to be able to create new custom content objects and are allowed to modify the structure.

Is there an easy way to change this behaviour?
Any pointers on how to configure the permissions accordingly?

I did not quite get what you mean by "Out-of-the-box Editor role permissions" but what you just mentioned and asked for is already in ezpublish.

you just go to User accounts and can see "Roles and policies" which you adjust the current one and change it to what you want.[what you said is totally possible.]

Does my answer help or I just got you wrong ?

Yeah, it does help, thanks!
