URL re-writing

URL re-writing

Hi All,

I am new to ez Publish and facing one issue.

I have created one class called page and i have created few pages using that and when I open that page in client side it opens using "name".

Now I would like to add one more attribute called short_name and when user enters any name in this i would like to open that page using short_name and not name.

Example:

Page (class) -> Name = Events -> http://xxxxxxx/ezpublish/index.php/plain_site/Events

Now if I add short name = events_page then if someone types something like this in URL

Page (class) -> Name = events_page -> http://xxxxxxx/ezpublish/index.php/plain_site/events_page then I would like to open the same Event page.

Please help if you have idea.

In the "URL alias name pattern:" field when editing the class, you could use:

<short_name|name>

This uses short_name to build the URL and if it's not filled in, it falls back to using name.

Hi,

If you want define URL alias name pattern, you have to edit the classe (in your case page) : "Setup tab" and clic on left menu "Classes".

In this edit form, you can specify your pattern.

I hope this helps.

Best regards.
