Icons will be faster than scrolling

Icons will be faster than scrolling

What do you think about the creation of the panel with icons to add content-objects?
Click on the icon will be faster than the constant scrolling to scroll.
Make ini-file which can be edited frequently used icons to add content-objects like:

  • article
  • file
  • folder
  • image
  • file

because the list of content-classes is very long now
and scrolling is very slow when adding.

If the list of classes you can pick to add is very long, it is most likely because you have not properly set up permission controls: editors should generally be allowed to create only a couple of different things at any given place, not just any type of content.

Or you're logged in as admin - in which case it is indeed annoying - but with great power comes great responsibility blunk.gif Emoticon

Thanks, I understand you.
Yes, the list with content-classes of the editor will be less than the administrator, but in case with scroll will be two clicks than one, as is the case with the icon.

@ Maxim

I strongly disagree with this feature request. I prefer the 2 click+ content object class drop down menu.

I would not like at 1 click object creation button.

Still ... I would encourage you to post your feature requests to the issue tracker or community roadmap.

Cheers,

Heath
